Once a wine cellar, Casa Fresco was lovingly brought back to life in 2019, blending historic character with modern comforts. High ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and timeless details create a warm atmosphere full of charm and history. The perfect retreat for guests looking to slow down and unwind in authentic Italian village life.

The apartment is arranged across two levels and retains the authentic charm of traditional mountain houses in the area, with rustic details and a cozy atmosphere.

On the lower floor, you’ll find the entrance and a modern bathroom with a shower. A charming spiral staircase leads upstairs to the open-plan living and sleeping area, featuring a double bed tucked beneath beautiful wooden beams, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and direct access to the beautiful shared courtyard.

Ideal for couples or solo travelers, the apartment offers a peaceful and unique stay surrounded by history and nature.

Please note that the spiral staircase is narrow and may not be suitable for very young children or guests with limited mobility.

Just steps from the house, a variety of activities await: swimming in Lake Maggiore, stand-up paddleboarding, boat rides, mountain biking, scenic hiking trails, and exploring the nearby villages and beautiful Val Grande National Park.

Casa Fresco is located approximately 19 km from the Swiss side of the lake and makes the perfect base for discovering the beauty and slower rhythm of this special region.

There is also the possibility to rent the neighboring apartment, Porta Rossa, which shares the courtyard with Casa Fresco — ideal for larger groups traveling together.

Please note that the apartment is only accessible by foot, adding to the peaceful and authentic village experience. Street parking is available on the main road or further up the hill.

🚌 A bus stop is conveniently located on the main road within walking distance of the apartment, with connections along Lake Maggiore. However, we highly recommend arriving by car or renting a Vespa to fully enjoy the surrounding villages, hiking trails, restaurants, and hidden lake beaches at your own pace.

Whether you enjoy swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, or exploring the lake by boat, Lago Maggiore offers something for everyone. At Casa Fresco, the water is practically on your doorstep — the lakeshore is just 70 metres away, and a small beach can be reached within a short walk.
